Best Dark/Epic Fantasy

(Book II of the Living Sword Chronicles series)

Written with brio this long sequel manages to outshine its predecessor the Origins. More characters, more intrigue and mystery. A fantastic new dark world and some of the best villains in fiction. You just don't want it to finish. Last but not least, there are vampires in this one!

The Living Sword Chronicles by Angelo Tsanatelis

A fast reading story; a glimpse of a bigger darker world. Extremely violent, overly heroic with nice and fresh ideas. A straightforward honest story, that despite its minor flaws, will make you want for more. A must read.

In Her Name by Michael R. Hicks

A fine tale of love and betrayal. Action packed, a great hero and a story for the ages. Thoroughly enjoyed, not flawless but a great tale nonetheless. A must read, preferably the omnibus edition.

The Blade itself (The 1st Law) by Joe Abercrombie
Brutally described at times, tremendously well written action sequences, one of the best villain/hero's I have ever read. A very enjoyable experience and a brilliant author. A must read.
